![]() MIYUKIKAI does really good work and is always a pleasure to do business with. Two sets of 1/200 Aoba plans arrived today - 19 configurations. Some of the part you might see on other ship as well that using the same part. I'll keep posting as I make progress with her hull, propulsion, rudder, damage control, guns, and superstructure. Mod that change the visual of the ship with Aoba Kancolle theme. The tailfin serials I'll be using are DI-1 and DI-2 (which, as far as I can tell, represent CruDiv6's flagship). I'll be painting them the green and white pattern that the IJN favored for cruiser seaplanes. While I was waiting for the hull to arrive, I went on Ebay and ordered a pair of 1/144 Aichi E13A "Jake" seaplanes from jsmwarplanes for her catapult. ![]() ![]() The hull arrived on Saturday and is a fiberglass Aoba-class hull made by Battlers Connection. I ordered an Aoba hull at the beginning of the year, and I figured it would be interesting to log my build progress on this forum. I take part in a club called the Southeast Attack Squadron (SAS), which is part of the International Radio-Controlled Warship Combat Club (IRCWCC) where we take 1/144 scale remote-controlled warships and go ham on each other's ships on a lake.
